30-Second Flip Ribeye Steak with Original Hickory Grilled

30-Second Flip Ribeye Steak with Original Hickory Grilled

Ingredients

  • 1 ribeye steak (1 to 1½ inches thick)
  • Char Crust Original Hickory Grilled
  • Optional: olive oil

Directions

  1. Preheat your grill to high heat (450–550°F).
  2. Pat the ribeye dry.
  3. Coat all sides with Char Crust.
  4. Place the steak on the hot grill. Cook, flipping every 30 seconds.
  5. Continue flipping every 30 seconds until the steak reaches your desired internal temperature:
    • Rare: 120–125°F
    • Medium Rare: 130–135°F
    • Medium: 140–145°F
  6. Remove from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Why the 30-Second Flip Method Works

Frequent flipping helps the steak cook evenly while building Char Crust's signature crust.

Tip: For a 1¼-inch ribeye cooked to medium rare, expect approximately 6–8 minutes total cooking time, depending on grill temperature and steak thickness.
