Ingredients
- 1 ribeye steak (1 to 1½ inches thick)
- Char Crust Original Hickory Grilled
- Optional: olive oil
Directions
- Preheat your grill to high heat (450–550°F).
- Pat the ribeye dry.
- Coat all sides with Char Crust.
- Place the steak on the hot grill. Cook, flipping every 30 seconds.
-
Continue flipping every 30 seconds until the steak reaches your desired internal temperature:
- Rare: 120–125°F
- Medium Rare: 130–135°F
- Medium: 140–145°F
- Remove from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Why the 30-Second Flip Method Works
Frequent flipping helps the steak cook evenly while building Char Crust's signature crust.
Tip: For a 1¼-inch ribeye cooked to medium rare, expect approximately 6–8 minutes total cooking time, depending on grill temperature and steak thickness.
